My role at Redington, Africa: Leading with Vision, Ownership and commitment

In my role as Sales Head, I lead the commercial engine of the business with a blend of strategic clarity and human centred leadership. My days are spent shaping sales strategy, guiding my team toward ambitious targets, nurturing key customer relationships, and ensuring that our revenue pipeline remains strong and predictable.
I am deeply involved in forecasting, refining sales processes, and collaborating closely with our marketing, product, and leadership teams to ensure seamless execution. Every outcome—growth, performance, customer success—ultimately rests on my shoulders, and I embrace that responsibility with remarkable ownership and commitment.
What truly distinguishes me, however, is the heart I bring into the role. I don’t just lead for results; I lead for impact—creating an environment where my team feels energized, supported, and inspired to outperform themselves.

Stepping Into Redington: A Leap into the Unknown

When I joined Redington, I came from an entirely different distribution environment. The shift required me to unlearn familiar systems and relearn a completely new way of operating.
I look back on this phase as one filled with learning, growth, challenges, and countless memories that I cherish to this day.
Every day brought something new—fresh processes, different expectations, and unfamiliar work rhythms. Instead of resisting, I chose to rise to each challenge with courage and adaptability. This journey of unlearning and relearning shaped me into a more resilient and confident professional.
The challenges I faced never discouraged me—they expanded my capacity, sharpened my instincts, and strengthened my leadership.

Motherhood & Ambition: A Beautiful Balancing Act

Just six months into joining Redington, I welcomed my baby girl—a profound personal milestone.
It was a period filled with emotional intensity, responsibility, and change. Yet, motherhood never once affected my dedication to my work or my ability to manage my home. Balancing both roles taught me discipline, time management, and emotional strength. And I take immense pride in giving my best—to both my family and my career—during that demanding chapter.

A Defining Memory: The South Africa Team-Bonding Trip

One of the most unforgettable experiences in my Redington journey was a team bonding trip to South Africa. My baby was still very young, yet with the support of my husband, I made the courageous decision to travel. I even arranged for a nanny in South Africa so I could be fully present during work activities. What made this moment truly special was how my team and boss responded—with empathy, encouragement, and unwavering support. It was a vivid reminder that I belonged to an organization that valued people, not just roles.

The Power of Support & Community

I believe my journey would be incomplete without acknowledging the people who walked beside me—my leadership and my team, who supported me, trusted me, and uplifted me through every high and low. Their belief in me became my anchor

Beyond Work: Passions That Make Her Who She Is
