It specializes in process automation and app integration, with demonstrable capabilities in support, operations, and SLA, among others. It wanted to migrate resources from Visual Studio Enterprise, i.e., from Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) to Cloud Service Provider (CSP) subscription. It approached Redington for expert advice<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"barred mrgn_btm\">Challenge:<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"inner-lists\">\n<li>Pinpointing infra details\/resource information available in the given MPN subscription.<\/li>\n<li>Planning migration after identifying migration groups and segregating them based on regions and plan.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring adherence to subscription quotas, and architecting\/altering resources to meet configuration requirements before migrating.<\/li>\n<li>Drawing meaningful information about applications, database, and resource storage (size).<\/li>\n<li>Identifying the connected resources by pinpointing inter-server dependency within a given subscription.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"barred mrgn_btm\">Solution:<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"inner-lists\">\n<li>Spotlight can capture all infrastructure details\/resource information available in the MPN subscription.<\/li>\n<li>Spotlight traced and identified the server dependency mapping with the help of connected ports and segregated the groups for migration planning.<\/li>\n<li>Spotlight is capable of listing and selecting the required configurations. It also helps alter the resources before migration.<\/li>\n<li>Spotlight identified the app services, DB sizes, and utilization data on CPU, memory, and network to calculate equivalence matching and offer right-sizing suggestions.<\/li>\n<li>Spotlight identified the connected resources by retrieving the communication ports, process IDs, and location info, based on which it pinpointed the server dependency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The customer\u2019s entire infra\/resource details pertaining to MPN subscription were captured using Spotlight\u2019s top-of-the-line scanning services. Spotlight offered the customer incisive and meaningful insights into their environment to chart out the course for transition.
